Aligning College and MIS Data Webinar

An hour-long session on explaining why college-level, Chancellor's Office, and Cal-PASS data may not line up.
One of the top concerns raised in the RP Group's recent survey of IR offices was differences between college-level reports and the reports generated using the Chancellor's Office MIS data. This webinar--available for viewing at any time--examines whether and under what conditions differences may emerge between the reports derived from the Chancellor's Office, Cal-PASS, and local college data.
Specific topics include:
- Where do the data come from? (including strategies for addressing data entry errors)
- Where does your data go? (including how staggered submission and resubmission calendars affect the numbers)
- Who is accessing your data and how? (including understanding how practitioners and stakeholders can gather information on college success rates)
- Comparing MIS to other data sets (including CPEC, NSC, and IPEDS and how these may differ from local data)
